The Mr. Men: bringing smiles for over 50+ years!

Love em' or hate em', there's something to be said about the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.

It started off as an extremely simple book series, starting off with the book Mr. Tickle, which was about the character of the same name. The literal sister-series, Little Miss, came out in 1981 with the book Little Miss Bossy. Additionally, there is also an animal-esque series called Timbuctoo, but nobody really talks about that one.

The thing is, about the series, is that it became way more complex over time. Yeah sure, the characters were still simple in design, but the series genuinely has more characters than a lot of series you've already seen, unless you count Marvel or any series where characters are key.

Mr. Men is a series which I'm sure many have saw from The Mr. Men Show, but I feel like this show is kind of like a far cry from the original books.

The thing is, the show isn't bad, but it feels like a far cry from the original books. The books were simple, funny, and clever, but this series was still funny, it's just that it felt more like a generic comedy series like SpongeBob SquarePants.

This story in particular, Mr. Noisy, is a very simple story that is still charming. Seeing a character like Mr. Noisy becoming quiet, or Mr. Greedy becoming slimmer is a good moral lesson, and unlike many other kids' books, these books aren't just enjoyed for the moral message, but for the comedy. It was simple, charming, and fun.

The thing is, about the books, is that they were fun to read, and could provide you a good lesson without forcing it in.

They also had many appearances in many TV adverts, such as this funny commercial for Specsavers.

And also, outside of the commercials, there are certain characters based on pop-culture icons, such as Doctor Who, celebrity figures, or certain companies.

And the thing is, that's not even all there is to it! They had many cartoon adaptations, including the classic 70's-80's Mr. Men series, the 80's Little Miss series, the 90's Mr. Men and Little Miss series, (known as The Mr. Men Show or The Mr. Men and Little Miss in the U.S) and the most popular one, The Mr. Men Show

So, what do we at John Tvs think about this series? We absolutely love it! It was kind of an inspiration to us from the very beginning of our channel, as we have watched The Mr. Men Show when it was on Cartoon Network. We liked its writing, and as such, it is one our main inspirations, besides some adult cartoons, books, and one video game.

So, there you are, friends! We just talked about another British series other than Mr. Blobby, and if you are wondering, we did make some Mr. Men of our own!

See you with more nonsense, announcements, and even more cool stuff coming soon!
